1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Educos platform (available at educos.online and its subdomains), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

These terms apply to all users of the platform, including content creators (instructors), students and visitors.

2. Description of Service

Educos is an online learning platform that allows content creators to create, manage and sell digital courses, and students to access and consume that content. The platform offers:

  • Tools for creating and publishing online courses;
  • Enrollment and student management system;
  • Payment processing for paid courses;
  • Issuance of completion certificates;
  • Performance analytics and reports;
  • A custom subdomain for each school created on the platform.

3. Registration and Account

To use Educos services, you must create an account providing true, accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and access credentials;
  • All activities carried out under your account;
  • Immediately notifying Educos of any unauthorized use of your account;
  • Ensuring you are at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority applicable in your country to enter into contracts.

Educos reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that contain false information.

4. Responsibilities of Content Creators

By creating and publishing courses on the platform, the instructor declares and warrants that:

  • They hold all necessary rights over the published content, including copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual property rights;
  • The content does not infringe third-party rights or contain illegal, defamatory, obscene or discriminatory material;
  • The information provided about the course is truthful and does not mislead students;
  • They are solely responsible for the quality and updating of published content;
  • The content complies with applicable laws.

5. Payments and Fees

Educos offers a free plan with basic features and paid plans with advanced resources. For paid courses published on the platform:

  • Educos may charge a fee on transactions, as disclosed at the time of plan subscription;
  • Payments are processed by third-party payment gateways;
  • Payouts to creators are made according to the current payment policy;
  • Refunds may be requested according to our refund policy available in the help center.

Plan prices may change with 30 days' prior notice to affected users.

6. Intellectual Property

All content published by creators remains the property of the respective authors. By publishing content on Educos, the creator grants the platform a non-exclusive license to host, display and distribute the content to enrolled students.

The Educos brand, logo, design and technology are the exclusive property of the platform and may not be used without prior written authorization.

7. Prohibited Conduct

The following is expressly prohibited:

  • Using the platform for illegal or unauthorized purposes;
  • Publishing content that infringes copyrights, trademarks or other intellectual property rights;
  • Publishing hate speech, pornographic, violent content or content promoting illegal activities;
  • Attempting to access other users' systems or data without authorization;
  • Using bots, scrapers or any automated means to access the platform without authorization;
  • Redistributing or reselling course content without the creator's authorization.

8. Limitation of Liability

Educos is not responsible for the quality, accuracy or suitability of content published by creators. The platform acts as a technological intermediary between creators and students.

In no event shall Educos be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the platform, except as required by applicable consumer protection law.

9. Modifications to Terms

Educos reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Substantial changes will be communicated by email with at least 15 days' notice. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will preferably be resolved through mediation. If not possible, the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
